We came back from or our walk while Narcie was cleaning the boy's room. She had both dog beds on top of each other with the covers off, on the floor, outside the gate. Juneau lay down on top of both and sunk down into total comfort, reminiscent of "The Princess and the Pea. Jack, came round the corner, saw that and got on top of Juneau and sat on him.
Juneau pretended he didn't notice or care for a bit, but eventually got up and walked away. Jack stretched out and took to spot he stole from Juneau. He looked like the cat that ate the canary, quite pleased with his success.
However his success was short lived. Narcie came over with the newly washed covers and tried to make Jack move off the beds.
He wouldn't budge. She said "Oh, I think he is tired". I told her he took Juneau's place and doesn't want to give it up, and I helped her get him up and off.
Such is a dog's life.
